Crisis averted!!! NGD! And wow!!!

Happy Saturday Night Live GIF

Awesome! Glad you got it in a climate controlled space before the polar vortex hit!

For real.... not looking forward to whats to come. Except I actually am looking forward to being holed up with the strandy surrounded by warm glowing tubes and not leaving my house for 48+hrs

Shining Jack Nicholson GIF

Congrats!

I love my Strandberg, but it has not heen getting the love it deserves. Going to put on some fresh strings and get to playing.

:beer

I need to start watching some videos, I have no idea how to change the strings on this guitar

Nice score Spawn.

Love the top on that one.

I’d love the opportunity to audition one of these one of these days.

I think I might be missing out on something good.

Thanks! They're pretty cool and definitely radically different than anything else I have or have had before

I do still hold some little quibbles with the way they're priced considering they're made by cortek, but honestly I've gotta say it seems much more in the league of my USA PRSs and gibson than it does to an SE prs also made by cortek. So maybe it is worth it after all lol

Knowing you you'd probably find one for $150 in one of your pawn shop routs anyway!

Hahahaha

Well, that would be the way I’d love to score one of these for sure.

I know these models have been around for a while, but I’ve yet to encounter one in a pawnshop.

I have seen one of those cheap headless knockoffs like Eart, but I’m not throwing any money at those,

Patience usually pays off, so I’ll wait it out.

Beautiful guitar, congrats!
As for the maxed out peg from the lower e string, you can adjust the String height in two ways, one way is raise or lower the peg and the other way are the pivot screen.
Strandberg reccomends a combination of both ways.
There also two notches in different heights where you can put the trem in.

Sweet, thanks for the link!! Definitely have a fair amount of self education to do for this thing lol

Had practice with this thing, just awesome. Sounds killer and so precise, and feels amazing while doing it

I’ve almost always been a fixed bridge guy, and even on the handful of trem guitars I’ve had never used it. This trem system definitely seems more diverse than more vintage styles I’ve had in the last though. I’ve figured out one trick that’s pretty cool, but that’ll get old/annoying fast lol. Feel like I have a whole new range of techniques I need to learn in meaningful ways to use a trem

One thing I’ve noticed…. Not quite sure how to describe it well but this guitar is not noisy… if that makes sense. I’ve not determined it that’s a good thing or a bad thing yet. I actually turned off all my input gates tonight. Which I guess could be a net positive to unchain some dynamics you lose when those are pumping

Biggest downside of the Strandberg? Damn it really exposes me for the fat ass I am. Tiny guitar accentuates that big ol gut :rofl

Congrats! This brings me back to when I got my Prog NX7, just awesome. I love how different it feels from other guitars and going back and forth. Also still really like the grey finish, same as yours!

I’m in Sweden and emailed a bit before jumping the gun so got mine set up for D-tuning by them at no extra cost before shipping it. The nut was a bit tightly cut on the A-string though, which got more noticeable after a couple of strong changes for some reason. I got a colleague to bring it to the Strandberg HQ in Uppsala. They fixed it and mailed it back in a new shipping box in a couple of days. Since then it’s been rock solid.

I still wonder if I’m ”doing it right” with the Endurneck and hand positions though. 😅

That's my Rule #1 for guitars. Big guys + small guitar = fail. :hmm :popcorn

I also once got fired from a sideman gig supporting a singer/songwriter
because I am 6'3" and he was like 5'8". We did a run of shows and I was
locking in with him and his band. I assumed all was going great and the
guys in the band seemed to think so, and then his wife came to a show.
She commented how huge I was and how small it made him look on stage.

:sofa

That was my last show with him and that band.

She prolly saved your @$$. Someone that insecure would have been a nightmare eventually....

This was my problem with my HP Special. I probably would have noticed it with my old Music Man Silhouette Special too but I was actually in shape when I had that guitar. So it looked right.
