Nuno ROCKS BATM at Back to The Beginning Concert!

Edit- my bad, already posted
Damn I'd love to hear this!

I got ahold of this back in the Napster days, I think Ozzy eventually put it on an album though. It was recorded for a Dweezil album. I’m curious if that dude is accurate in having a version with EVH on it. Donny Osmond ended up singing it for the Dweezil album because Epic wouldn’t let Ozzy’s vocals appear on it.

I came away from all the clips of him playing wishing he would have picked a heavier band to be in all these years. In my mind it's the equivalent of a Reb Beach. KILLER guitar player? GOD yes. Am I going to sit through their band to be able to watch that skill in all its glory? GOD NO.

The best throw together band of the entire weekend was Nuno with the Ghost drummer,
Frank Bello, Scott Ian, and Ugly Kid Crane on Vox. That was so fucking tight. The only
mock All-Star Group that sounded like fucking All-Stars together. I listened again last
night it is just magic. To me. :chef

It's down now, and they are scrubbing Youtube. Glad I saw it when I did. :(

Go Away Little Girl Donny Osmond???

I've said you can draw a line through virtually any (rock) musician, and connect to any other, via projects they've done, but that's crazy!

One of my first albums, as a kid! :sofa

I thought I'd heard this before? Not Nuno but Dweezil supposedly.

I think Nuno produced that Solo Album for Dweezil, as I recall.

I was a Record/Music Store employee at the time and can remember it coming out.

Yeah they were tight and sounded great!

They did the EXACT same thing with the Taylor Hawkins/Foo Fighters Tribute.

Pretty sure they want us buying the DVD.... or paying to stream it when it is
available for download.

Just a guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wouldn’t mind a professionally released copy of Saturday’s show, mixed and mastered and not just the feed off the soundboard. This was definitely a worthy event of a $20 bluray

Sounds like Sharon.

I’ve said this elsewhere, but while I don’t think Sharon doesn’t deserve some shit over how she cut out former Ozzy members/writers, the Sharon/Ozzy hatred pretty much always ignores the amount of bands they gave careers by starting up Ozzfest and putting bands on the bill. It’s a lot of bands most GenXers don’t dig, so it’s understandable to a certain point, but without Ozzfest these bands would most certainly not have the careers they have today-

Lamb of God
Mudvayne
Slipknot
Incubus
Limp Bizkit
System Of A Down
Linkin Park
Disturbed
Kittie
Drowning Pool

That’s just the bands that got their start with Ozzfest, but they were also brining out already established bands and putting them in front of bigger audiences than they would have had on their own, namely Tool, Slayer, Pantera, Soulfly and Marilyn Manson. Then there’s the bands that have imploded or didn’t make it out of that era for whatever reason; American Head Charge, POD, Static X, Ill Nino, etc.

That’s a good amount of bands that have comfy lives as a result of those shows. While I wouldn’t say it’s fair to completely forget how the original guys got screwed over or why re-recordings exist, I don’t think they quite get the credit they deserve for launching some pretty big careers.

If you're talking about the whole day's proceedings, it will more likely be a $200 boxed set. A year from now.

Well, the "proceeds" are supposed to go to charity, so I can see the desire to keep the money 'on the field', so to speak.

It'd be interesting to know how 'proceeds' are defined though.
