I ran into a used one for a good price. Although it still came in with the odeur of corck ;)

I tried one couple of years ago, wasn’t for me then cause it did not work straight into a powersection.

This time around: love it! Super present sound, in your face and then once more. Love the UI!

Unfortunately they no longer make them cause it contains a component that doesn’t pass legislation.

They’re cool… cool as fuck. Sure gets the nerd inside me going. But I always thought it was weird to see them on pedalboards. But as a desk/studio pedal they would be fun imo. And look fun to use to. Would make re-amping and shit be a ultimate toy party :rofl

I’m not bothered by weird at all ;)
Cause you can cycle through sounds, or select via midi…it’s actually a very practical solution!

I've always wanted to try these but the price and size puts me off. It's a lot of money for motorized sliders.
Yeah..I was in the same fence, but tipped over it ;)

After fiddling a bit with it…I kicked an eq/boost of my board, and an overdrive pedal. (The dude, the Automatone does an excellent “D overdrive”, it was super close to the gain channel of my D clone amp)
So I won back some territory lost by the size of the pedal;)

It definitly doesn’t do every drive sound on the planet on it’s own, it’s on the gritty side of the spectrum.
Definitely not the last pedal in the chain for highgain players.

..but.. it sounds awesome in front of another overdrive I like, and I’m gonna get a whole lot more out of that pedal by switching EQ/Level//gain via presets on the Automatone. I’ll probably end up with an expression morphing gain sounds.

Plus…it’s also a great “morph my clean sound from big to funky..

Anyway…I’m fully covered with 2 drive pedals..the flying faders/presets pay off, and maybe it’s the honeymoonfase…but never been more happy with my “overdrive section”.
