Any darkening that happens is from moisture added to the fingerboard.
Good luck with the other minor things.
It’s not QC that missed fret sprout it happens in the carton after . The reason Fender Mexico gets it is they operate a production method that uses the wood very efficiently requiring less storage so this results in necks being built and the guitars being shipped to warehouse space very quickly after the wood arrives. Most companies have it in storage for far longer before it is used. The result is the frets get fitted to a neck before it is fully acclimatised and it shrinks a percentage or two after it’s in the carton. QC has nothing to do with it.
It is an easy nothing fix and would never put me off an otherwise great value guitar.
In the scheme of core materials used and quality parts MIM Fender brands are pretty much unbeatable. Often using electrics and hardware that bought aftermarket would cost the price of the whole guitar. They are almost alone in the use of branded third party high end components in this price point. I hardly ever see a MIM Fender brand guitar that doesn’t punch twice its price compared with other companies.
