basically stock unplayed nos case queen. according to seller, I'm now the third owner. original owner bought it from west texas dealer in early 90s and played it a couple hours, then it went in storage until 2005. seller bought it from original owner in 2005 and played it a couple hours, then it went in storage until 2024. wide thin neck, birds, short heel (what heel??), HFS + Vintage Bass, 5-way rotary, frets look almost untouched, except for what I did to it yesterday after I got it home LOL.

Nice!
How many hours do YOU have on it? :rofl
It could be cursed!?

Congrats on a very cool score.

I have 2 PRS Standard 24 Goldtops myself ,which are bone stock.

I have an ‘88 and a recently acquired 94.

They’re both amazing guitars.

Amazing find! I have a very-much-not-a-case-queen '95 Standard 24 that made me a PRS convert. I love the standard carve neck. Perfect for my hands. Same red finish as yours. Though I have moons, not birds on the neck.

Enjoy that guitar!

Happy NGD!

I see you have the short neck tenon. Are there any of the infamous dead notes?

no heel, no dead notes, no restriction. the bridge screws do look a little high tho for 2mm 12th fret action, from what I remember compared to a custom 24, maybe the neck angle is different or they changed it, every other PRS I've had has been younger than 2001 and the bridge sat so close to the body you couldn't hardly see under it. it's set up with 9s tuned E standard and plays like a grand piano

Woohoo! Those do not show up every day, and it sounds like you're going to love it long time!

I don't understand the, "play for an hour and put it away for a decade" types. At all.

Damn clean example for a 1993! A few of my favorite guitars are closet classics. I like to think that they were just patiently waiting for their true owner to bring them home. Congrats!

Those are THE best tuners I've ever used on any guitar. Had them on a CU22 'Blem' I stupidly sold when I needed money.

I LOVE how you can unwind the string while holding the locking cam, until it clears the post, set the string in place, tune, done! They're even better than the Schallers on my Majesties cuz you CAN SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING!

Nice score!
