We're gonna need some graphs to back that upThe 50s Gibson has a slightly thicker neck and it feels like it is heavier in weight

My LP has BB pros (slightly hotter, stillI've been playing my Edwards for somewhere north of 11 years, I am very familiar with it. The 50s Gibson has a slightly thicker neck and it feels like it is heavier in weight (I didn't weigh it yet) and very similar acoustic sound.
The necks on the 60s Standard and the 1959 Custom Shop Reissue I have tried in the shop feel a lot more familiar to me so I know what ESP/Edwards were going for with their E-LP series, but only the 50s Standard had the Tobacco Burst which is probably my favorite burst shade.
The quality of Edwards guitars is amazing, doesn't fall short of a Gibson and plays just as nice in my opinion.
It's my first day with PAF pickups, all my amps and modelers sound weirdly thinner and undergained, but hey, decades of my favorite music were recorded with this style of pickups, I must readjust.
My LP has BB pros (slightly hotter, still
~8K ohms), and most of my presets are set up for hotter Duncan / DiMarzio pickups, so I usually add either an EQ or a boost block before the amp (typically turned off) for the LP.
Burstbuckers 1+2 with Alnico II with 7.6k Neck and 8.1k Bridge measured on my Gibson, compared to 59 SH-1 Alnico V with 7.6k Neck and JB with 15.9K Bridge.
Although both are Les Paul, they are VERY different instruments, I don't think the 50s Gibson can do Metal at all, the Bridge humbucker just itsn't there, much more suitable for Led Zeppelin, Gary Moore, Clapton, etc.
Here's a very good comparison of PAF pickups, they all pretty much sound the same.
