NGD: I Bought It! JP15

I've played it a bit, but not a lot just yet. Waiting on those strap locks.

I love the neck. The feel is the best of any guitar I've played.
I'm not used to the high fret access not being as nice as the Majesty though. I wouldn't be surprised if that's why JP doesn't even bother with the JP's any more.

Sounds very similar to the Majesties. Same exact PU's.

Might be confirmation bias (need more time comparing), but I do think I can tell the neck radius is just a tad easier to do those 'finger-rolls' across same fret on adjacent strings. It's 15" as opposed to 17" (every other Petrucci guitar made is 17.)

And it is STUNNING to look at!

Overall I effin LOVE it! The detail work is impeccable!

So it is not your new Number 1?? Maybe 1b?? :idk
You know, it's funny. There's subtleties between the 3. The 20th has more mass. It's the heaviest, and I love that. The strings are better aligned on the Enchanted Forest though. But both are glossy finishes, and I wear my 'forearm' condoms, while playing them. Probably will on the JP too.
But that neck on the JP is the best of the 3.

(I did buy that sandpaper pack you recommended a while back, but still haven't gotten up the nerve to use it! A little baby powder works fine.)

Once I get the JP set up, I'll probably rotate through all 3 evenly. It took a while before I started playing my 20th regularly, so we'll see.

Of the new Majesties, they have some that have that same 'matte' finish they used to do on the Monarchy line of Majesties, so who knows what may happen later this year.

And I'd still like to get a Kaizen!

Drew's now like, "You should buy an old Kawasaki and do some riding, @TSJMajesty ." :stirthepot:crazy

:rofl

I kid. :beer

I have often wondered about all of my gear, as my Son shows little to no interest
at this point, and I have a lot of great gear and nowhere for it to go where it will
be loved like it deserves to be. :idk

My biggest hurdle is figuring out who to leave up to this task, but I want all my gear given out to people who will appreciate the shit out of it but can’t afford it, particularly kids/teens.
