New Orange “Baby” Amps

Interested to learn more about these. If they can build on the super crush and offer a post effect return master volume in a smaller and lighter box it would be killer.

Yeah will be interested to dig into these a bit more. I love good analog solid state amp designs.

The gain baby with the compressor on the clean channel is a neat idea...would be cool to have a reverb but hey I got a reverb pedal coming in the mail. Dual baby also looks intriguing kind of like a Friedman Twin Sister.

Didn’t really do anything to tickle my GAS buds .
I’ve already got two excellent solid state Orange heads if needed .👍
Did like the mini switch pedal tho👍

Which ones do you have?

I've been tempted to pick up one of the Super Crush 100 heads.

Sounding pretty good - not a bad option if you were looking at a pedal baby and want an option to run as standalone amp as well.

Noticed earlier they are being discounted already on a few retail sites and coming with free gifts and bags.

Sounds good to me. Odd they made three different versions rather than one or two comprehensive versions, but I dig it.

How do solid state amps actually behave with direct recordings? For example, if I were to connect one of these Orange Baby amps directly to an audio interface via the balanced output, would it sound any different than with a load box? I tried to do a little research, but found conflicting information. Some say that solid state amps react very similarly to tube amps to the connected load box or speaker, others claim that the impedance curve remains more or less flat.

Connect to an interface into a DAW and you will be really hard pushed to hear if it’s tube or solid state amp.
Just mess around with settings🤘

The problem people are going to have with these is ?
Why not all in one amp?
I think that’s why they are already being discounted.😳
Agreed on the strange need to have the different models of this? I don't seem them being discounted. Here in the states at least? $599 at the major retailers while the Super Crush heads are at $549?
