Price will be $599.
That’s kind of a great price tbh. Only $100 more than a PowerStage 200, but full stereo and with all the other impedance bells and whistles.

That is quite reasonablePrice will be $599.
Seems like that's exactly what the Pedalhead is going for.Preamp only captures into a ToneX one => Wampler pedal Head => Nice 2x12.
That could be a nice little rig if this thing delivers the goods.

Stereo is glorius, I know nobody likes it for live but it sure is fun.My plan is FM9, Pedalhead, and a pair of 1x12s.

I am not a huge effects guy when I play but a stereo reverb or just a nice wide split is enougy most of the time.It depends on the PA, but I always run stereo with my band. However, the keyboard player and I have our own ‘secondary’ PA that we run my guitar and all three of his keyboards through. It’s not a crazy, Pink Floyd type of stereo where things get freaky, though. Typically just dual delays to give the guitar a bit of width.
@politoleo How do the power amp “models” compare to those in the Friedman IR pedals and the Synergy 20IR? Is there shared technology with the Wampler or is this completely different?
So, am I right in understanding that when I play through something like Fractal/Helix, the model doesn't 'see' the load? (i.e. it is only responding to an input signal and on the output side, responding to a fixed speaker impedance curve? The input signal and the SIC form the 'bookends' so to speak)
But here, the power amp model on the Pedalhead is dynamically reacting to actual speaker loads from the guitar cabinet? If so great - but how do 6 power amp models cover the vast range of power amps painstakingly modeled in something like the AxeFX3? Are 6 archetypes sufficient?
And if we do wish to use the power amp models on the Fractal, how do we get them to 'see'/interact with the load?
I may be getting this all wrong but would appreciate any clarity anyone can provide. Thanks!
Yes that's right, modelers in general have no way to see the real speaker current.
Pedalhead will include 5 power amp models (not yet sure which one), plus one dedicated to modelers where poweramp sim is included.
The last one being a a more hifi ish tube amp, similar to what the IR Load is when reactance is at zero.
I have mostly just been thinking about using it as an amp for a modeler, but does this imply that I could use a SYN-1 + Pedalhead to get power amp flavour for a pure direct scenario using the balanced outs? I wasn’t sure if that was possible given the real-time current monitoring of the speaker load.and they are more accurate when no speaker is connected.

I’m looking forward to trying out both the Pedalhead and IR Load. Thanks for answering all our questions!
