Absurd, but I love it - Blues Cube Tour content

Today, I received a used Blues Ciube Tour 4x10 cabinet. It's not mint, but it's in very good-to-excellent condition, with only a few scuffs on the very scuff-able tan tolex Roland uses. Why did I get it? Because 1) it was available cheap, and 2) for years, I've had a pair of Blues Cube Tour heads, also bought used for a fraction of their sky high new price. I'd been using them with other cabinets and direct, but I always wanted to pair them with the matching 4x10.

And...I just love it. The look (pictures in a future post - it's in the basement right now while I make room for it), the sound, how perfectly the combination works, and just the insanity of a "high end solid state half stack."

And yes, I have the Tone Capsules, too. I would never have paid new prices for them. The cabinet is over 56 lbs, so it's not saving anyone's back. But the amps sound fantastic.

Very nice!
It reminds me of my old BC-60/310 combo amp. It had 3 10" speakers and sounded great. I loved that amp. The cab was dropped at some point so I made a head out of it. Still have it.

I've almost bought a whole lot of 4x10 combo amps I didn't want just to use as a 4x10 cabinet...so yeah, nothing absurd about it.

I watched this video a LOT of times several years ago -- sounds fantastic:

I have really bad eyes early in the AM, when I read the post the first time I saw, Blues Clues Tour content. I thought I was on the wrong page for a moment.

I hoped the Blues Cube mojo would have been brought into the Nextone, but that amp always sounded dead in comparison to the Blues Cubes. You are inspiring me to keep an eye on the used market though.

yeah- i would gladly give a whack to the bc tour and a new york blues capsule. thatd pretty much cover all of my bases for wattages and sounds. a 100w brit class a? yes please. too loud? oh wait.. lemme fix that.

I also have a Nextone Special, and I love that thing, too, especially for dialing in some indie rock sounds. Maybe it's the blue Waza speaker.
