I just saw an ad for the new line of signature models from LTD. They all cost around 2000€ with the most expensive one even 2700€. And no, we are not talking about high end ESP or mid-tier E-II models, these are guitars from their „affordable“ LTD brand. This is just crazy.

What is the guitar like?
If the quality and parts used are good enough for the price point then what is the problem?

Unless they’ve made some changes for this year, it’ll be like any other LTD; hit or miss. I’ve certainly played some great ones that I wouldn’t bat an eye at seeing those prices at, but I’ve also played some that’d make me think they’re purposefully running themselves out of business with those prices.

Even harder to understand it all with the whole Edwards bit thrown in the mix; they’re clearly capable of making great guitars for great prices, but that’s not always reflected in the LTD line.

I don’t know about the price, but that one looks bad-ass!

I’ve been GAS’n for an offset chug machine.

I would not pay $1... so ugly ..its like telecasters ugly child.....

Yeah I'd need to know why there's such an increase.

The LTD EC-1000 which is their high end model retails for $1100 USD. Mine were made in Korea, not sure where they are made today. But they had USA Seymour Duncan pickups, TonePros hardware, and pretty solid build quality and construction.

Now looking at their website, most of the new models are listed around $1500, with the exception of that 7 string. No idea why that's so much more...
