New LTDs for 2700€. Have they gone mad?

Yeah I'd need to know why there's such an increase.

The LTD EC-1000 which is their high end model retails for $1100 USD. Mine were made in Korea, not sure where they are made today. But they had USA Seymour Duncan pickups, TonePros hardware, and pretty solid build quality and construction.

Now looking at their website, most of the new models are listed around $1500, with the exception of that 7 string. No idea why that's so much more...
1000s were like way under 1000 (ha!) on Thomann a few years ago. Crazy.

Well, lucky there's enough good brands and manufacturers today 💪

What is the guitar like?
If the quality and parts used are good enough for the price point then what is the problem?
Probably the expectation that because it's made in a lower cost of living (and labor) country, it should also be cheaper.

It is a pretty significant jump, and seems odd to price it above most of the ESP E-II range.

Fwiw, I haven't had any issue with the nut on my ESP LTD EC-1000 I bought last year.

I intended to replace the plastic nut and the bridge on my PRS SE 245 from online advice and deciding which pickups to use to bring it up to Internet (TOP) standard. I bought the TonePros replacement bridge and have been waiting for an issue with the plastic nut to have it installed.

4 years ago now. It turns out I the bridge is fine, and I like the pickups. It would take some convincing for me to replace them.

YMMV
