I bought my first Historic today. A used 2023 R9 in dirty lemon. It feels way different than my USA LPs I own. It rings like a bell unplugged, and sounds insane plugged in. I especially like the bridge pickup.
The guitar is relic'd. I wasn't sure if I would want that because I recently played a Murphy lab R0, and I didn't really get along with the neck where a portion of the finish was removed. The sections where the finish remained was sitting a little too proud of the unfinished section which for me was distracting to play. My new guitar has a very smooth transition in this regard and feels fantastic.
