New JHS Kit Pedal Release Monday

At least down here in Austria (howdy neighbor!), taxes are applied to the full price, including shipping. Not sure who invented this shit, but it feels unfair. This way, the 150€ threshold in easily reached. 😂

That's the bit I begrudge the most about paying vat and import fees. Paying it on the shipping is just rubbish.

Got mine today! After spending literally minutes of my life building it… I’m surprised. I had zero expectations of this thing and I absolutely love it!

It might become my new go-to drive pedal.

My only two complaints:

1) I wish you could footswitch toggle between the channels

2) I wish it was a little more involved to build. It was slightly more work than changing a battery in an old fuzz pedal.

As soon as I saw this, I thought the same thing but immediately had the idea to add another foot switch on the left to toggle the channels and replace the existing channel switch with a full-size potentiometer for the internal “Presence” control. Seems doable.

I think that’s a brilliant idea

I know from pictures that there’s room for the footswitch, must not sure if you can fit a full-size potentiometer for the presence in the location of the existing channel switch. I’m guessing the PCB is in the way.

Yeah the PCB will be problematic. It’s pretty tall though, you might be able to side mount it.

Anyone know what this is based on, or if there’s anything else like it out there?

I’m like Ryan and wouldn’t have a clue how to disconnect & connect a foot switch to that board.😳
I guess someone hopefully will film themselves doing it at some point soon 🤞🙏
I would be interested in seeing how it’s done.👍
My FedX tracking now says my NOTADUMBLE is arriving tomorrow 👍

In his answer why there's no reason to have a footswitch, Josh is supplying the perfect reason why a footswitch would be great.

“we put two very different circuits in the same box and provided a switch so you could go up and back…but get this, we didn’t use a traditional foot switch for this function. Instead we used a slider switch so you have to bend over to change circuits. In other unrelated news, we would like to thank the American Chiropractic Association for their generous sponsorship.”
