Ooooh Ooooh. This scratches some itches that the PT-20 V1 didn't.

It was $200 less than I expected it to be when I clicked on this thread…. Am I just numb to the ridiculous cost of amps at this point?

It's actually not a PTv2. The description is kind of misleading. This one doesn't have as much gain and is voiced darker than the PTv2.

I love the PTv2 but wanted one with a clean channel so I could gig with it. After talking with Dave I just bought one of these WW20 and had him mod channel 2 to be PTv2. Between that amp and my JEL20 I have every tone I've ever chased. Plexi and Modded 800 in spades.

$2000 lunchbox amps that are never stout enough to hang with
a drummer on an acoustic kit.

I thought the Friedman 20s were supposed to be really loud and able to hang? Granted “drummer on an acoustic kit” IME can range from the volume of a tambourine to that of roughly a jet engine…

I've done gigs with a Princeton Reverb (granted, with a far more efficient speaker) and acoustic drummer. Deluxe Reverbs have been used forever live. 20 watts can be plenty loud.
