New Blackstar coming?

Are Blackstar going to use NAM A2 tech to get around their crappy amp modelling??? Heck.. even their valve amps aren't that great either!

Yeah - A2 support though not sure if *full* A2 or leveraging the "slimmable" feature to make it fit.

Almost certainly using slimmable. I found Steve's comment in his 0.5 announcement interesting:
A nod to the Valeton, NUX, Hotone stuff for sure.

I see a lot of posts at TOP that "X unit just received NAM support via firmware update" and in fact they're just dumbing down NAM profiles to their proprietary format, which in most cases considerably changes the tone (for better or worse).

I have read at TOP, that there is less aliasing going on when it’s converted to their proprietary formats. Now, whether that’s true or not I don’t know. And I don’t know how much that changes. The capture from the original to be completely honest. Could sound better it could sound much worse. As far as accuracy, I know it will be worse.

Only way to know for sure is to fire up the LUFS Machine!
