Nonsense. I may even agree in other cases, but in this case there's literally no way to aquire an original at any price anyone could consider "decent". So, I'm all for companies to copy Centaur circuits and selling them for prices a normal human being can afford.

The whole hype around the Klon has made me disinterested to the point to not even be bothered about owning an original or a klone.

I don't like the hype but do love the Klon. It just works for me. Totally get why others don't like it but it's still worth checking one out.

I actually like some clone-ish circuits for a pretty soft standalone drive (running into a clean amp rather than pushing a dirty one), ideally with some compression upfront, but as you, I never even remotely got the hype for the original, let alone the price. Complete nonsense.
