Honestly? Think they should have ditched the switches too and just had it touchscreen only. That would be a perfect desktop unit and they’d have knocked off some money.

It looks cool, if I didn’t have a QC I would likely get this instead of the flagship.

From what I can tell the I/O difference boils down to the QC has two expression jacks. The QC Mini has one. That’s it AFAICT.

I asked my Sweetwater guy if it’s not too late to return my QC in exchange for this and save 300 bucks - it sits on my desk anyway.

Aaaaand I’m exchanging my QC for the mini - Sweetwater came through. $400 cheaper for the same capability for me is a no brainer. If I gigged it would be different

If anything, I am just happy it’s exactly the same guts as the big brother QC, and the “moderately paced” development will continue for both
Releasing QC2 would have been the worst decision.

Non-negotiables for me:

• Able to use the device fully without a computer or a phone app (outside maybe updates or IR loading)
• Needs rotary knobs to adjust parameters because using only a touch screen sucks
• Has all the amps/effects of the full unit (downscaled DSP is okay but missing lots of models is a nope)
• 6+ amp/effect blocks in the signal chain
• No pay-to-play expansion upgrade bullshit
• Release the fucking product when you announce it

The Stadium touchscreen is phenomenal. This will have to come at it hard to match that particular experience.
