NDSP Quad Cortex

Yeah, was always that way. You can't do anything with that folder. You can't delete it, or delete presets within it, or create new presets in there.

Makes sense, really.
I'm not so convinced that it makes sense. In a perfect world, there would be a "restore factory presets" option - kind of a partial factory reset - and you'd be able to modify those presets as you please.

I dig a lot of the factory presets apart from the fact that most of them are so dry (and the Scenes are kind of half-baked.) Would be nice to be able to season to taste.

Cave is an OG 'verb.
No idea how I've been snoozing on this one for so long...

I tried it once and didn't like it. I must try it tomorrow with the settings mentioned.

I mostly just used room, and now the new spring reverb.
The settings mentioned are more of a sound effect than a typical reverb application. If you didn't like it before, you probably won't love it now. Sounds like you gravitate more toward conventional utility reverbs with short decay times. I frequently use long plates and halls, so Cave suits my taste. Not sure why I wrote it off in the first place.

P.S. The new spring reverb is pretty great. :)

Just picked 2 of these up, hopefully they fit snug enough to still use the encoders as encoders 🤙

I grew up on Folgers and my mom made that shit STRONG cuz her whole side of the family comes from upstate New York farming rednecks that drank the dankest shit lol

I’m just looking for that caffeine 😭
I hear ya. I can drink nice espressos now but back then it was always the dankest shit!

Well, I decided to get another used Quad Cortex to see how much it's improved since 4th quarter 2024 when I sold the last one.

So now I'm going to be piddling with Axe FX III MkII Turbo, FM9 Turbo, Helix Stadium XL, and Quad Cortex.
My retired hours will be well used for lots of musical fun!

We expect nothing less than an in-depth shoutout

The V2 captures are better than V1, I can't tell the difference between the reference and a capture. Being able to capture your own amp and have it in the QC is the cherry on top with this device in my opinion.
I've got a Two Notes Torpedo Reload (original, not the Reload II). Have had a lot of success using it to eliminate having
to use a microphone to get the power amp output signal attenuated for recording/captures. The Triamp Mark 3 will be
fun since there are about a million useful tones with those 6 individual preamp channels it has!!!

QC might be overkill for my needs right now but if the Neural Capture v2 tech makes it to the Nano Cortex, I'm grabbing one.
