Oof I like my IIC capture better - less hairy.
Interesting. I think we all have our own interpretations of these terms, but I would call the IIc more "hairy". It's subtle but the IIc is looser up top, less compressed through the mids compared with the IV mode. The IIc sounds more like it's about to burn your house down, which was exactly what made me fall in love with mine all those years ago. (Curiously, I think I might actually prefer the more controlled sound of the IV mode now. Blasphemy?)

The clean channel sounds very legit (Mark-like) as well. Thanks for posting!

I'll tell you, the V1 - V2 switch really turned me off of paying for any capture pack at all - which is good for my wallet of course. But paying 15-20 bucks for a pack from Amalgam and then having the "this is obsolete" feeling really doesn't feel good lol

Is he doing free V2 updates for QC like he is for Tonex?

Not that I am aware!
Not implying there's anything wrong with your pickups - just that differences in pickups will yield different preferences for amp settings.

What pickups are you using? I used a SD Custom
One of the guitars I was playing just now has some custom "Tony Iommi signature" pickups - high output but probably nothing special otherwise, as this was an Epiphone version. The other, IIRC, is a 2007 SG Standard, and teh interwebs indicate "490R/498T combo". I don't know whether this is actually true (or what it means LOL.)

Pickups and guitars are huge factors. I spent years trying to make a silhouette sound like an Axis. In the end, I have no patience for dead wood...
