Like all cults, the more the people get shit-on and mistreated by their leaders, the more rusted-on they become - they give up acting in their own objective self-interest - a basic tenet of human evolution - and rationalize all the bad shit being done to them as being for some amorphous greater-good ... it does my f*cking head in.

They definitely will. The ads on other social are chock full of commenters ready to deepthroat anything NDSP puts out (or bots programmed to look like it, I can’t even tell on Meta platforms anymore). I even saw a couple “I don’t even mix or record vocals but I’m gonna buy it” type comments.
