You're wrong. You actually do need it.
The SLO-100 is definitely my favourite plugin from them.
Totally.
Hell, I don't play with a lotta gain, and even I like it!
It's pretty versatile :-)

I got it cause of this from the “freebie”..planned for may to be “X”?Yep. And the presets are pretty bad ass.
Being able to run it on QC (if/when) will be killer.

Not a fan of the clean channel and lead channel …that’s just me..clean channel too clean/twinny…and I don’t do high gain.
Delay is really nice.
Love the crunch amp, for its crunch..,but also for its clean sound. I had to put the gain at 0.02…so not what it was designed for…but I got a jazzy sound from it I dig: (concept demo I share with peeps I play live with, crappy midi drums)

I've tried every plugin under the sun and NDSP just have "the total package" imo. Others might have one or two attributes better here and there. But just overall the sounds, interface etc etc, they are just the apple of amp sims to me. Might not be perfect but they do enough well to be reliable and worth the money imo.I've started to realize that plugins are more than enough for my needs.....and I have a surprising amount of NDSP ones!
With that said I love seeing my DR and 6505 sitting next me
Anyway, NDSP plugins are great but I totally get the dislike of the company
FAS has what, an input noise gate that's on by default? That's it as far as I can remember.Re: all the preceding talk about noise floor and the necessity for a gate when building high gain patches... I'm messing around with the Gojira HOT amp right now and I cannot seem to make this thing make any noise. Notably, there's no noise gate on any of these presets. Some of my own presets with high gain captures are hiss-city. It makes me suspect that some kind of noise suppression is built internally into some of these amp blocks. Which brings me back to wondering whether the same isn't true of some FAS stuff. (FAS has noise gates sprinkled all over the place, and you have to hunt for them if you want to turn them all off and compare like for like.) I used to wonder the same about Line 6 stuff going back as far as the POD 2 era. That stuff could get really gainy without making too much noise.
Not sure about the soldano model on the qc and how different it’ll be, but I love the soldano plugin. I demod the mercuriall one and it might have been a hair better…. But I still prefer the ndsp overall plugin and if you have a qc it’s a no brainer (and obviously they’re half price now so it’s all win win)I'm hovering over Soldano just to have a new toy on my QC.
Thtyty..Standard changes are in the real book, hence in Dmi, if you fancy the alternate changes I did, if you PM your mailadress I’ll forward the chart.Stunning. Beautiful Spanish fusion vibe.
I only wish I could play like this... and I'll be jamming along for a while trying to steal what I can. :)
I believe there’s something built into the amp block as well. And presumably a dedicated block or two. But I could be wrong about all of this. What’s the opposite of a FAS expert?FAS has what, an input noise gate that's on by default? That's it as far as I can remember.
Thank you! And will do, later today.Thtyty..Standard changes are in the real book, hence in Dmi, if you fancy the alternate changes I did, if you PM your mailadress I’ll forward the chart.
They have one on the input block and then you can also have a separate block.I believe there’s something built into the amp block as well. And presumably a dedicated block or two. But I could be wrong about all of this. What’s the opposite of a FAS expert?![]()

It’s also possible that there’s a second GUI element exposed in the amp block that actually controls the input gate. I don’t know, I was completely disoriented the entire time I was trying to build presets on my FM3. The distraction of trying to build apples to apples presets to shoot out vs QC certainly didn’t help. They have one on the input block and then you can also have a separate block.
I don't believe there is one on the amp block but there might be![]()
