NAM: Neural Amp Modeler

Big pig has spoken. Keep up to the point ass****. And no I’m not Francois are anyone else. We are hundred to be passionate about AI and I happen to be an engineer. Not a struggling metal big dude who promote his pathetic YouTube channel. You try to intimidate people on Facebook and probably have no life. That’s funny.

that's crazy how about those people need to make things personal in everyway.

On a different note: NAM is love, NAM is life! This is the setup of my band TEMPEST - super convenient, but yet loud enough to really get walls shaking. The cabinets are 2x12 Harley Benton Verticals, one with Marshall G12 Vintage I bought from The Other John Browne, and one with the regular Chinese V30s. Sounds great!

My current rig (I'd like it to be smaller again but the wireless is too big). I leave it on the amp and control from airstep. I've used the namplayer for 20-30 gigs already!

FWIW, Audiio Transformer tried creating 2 accounts on Feb 1st, the day they signed up. Looks like the NoTalkGuitar account was caught by our spam bot and either rejected it or one of us mods rejected it manually.

Let’s go for the democratic approach to this-

A- Ban him
B- Discourage his posting ability (makes posting take forever)
C- Use him as a forum kickball
D- Edit all his posts to say “I EAT POOPIES”

I have it on good authority that he does in fact EAT POOPIES.

B C with a sprinkle of D

If it is Francois then he’s actively cosplaying bagging on himself, full blown inception. Never had dealings with him but the situation is pretty obvious.

In other news I snagged a new end game amp for me and I’ll be doing some terribly aliased nam captures today, no apologies in advanced.

Keep him on as an example of how much more impotence hurts than censorship

As a general rule, I am not big on censorship in most cases ... but in a case this obvious, I would go with A ... why ... "the more you kick a turd, the more shit you get on your own feet"

And just to once again show his maturity and to confirm @Audio Transformer wasn't the same person at all... Our friend "Francois", after reading our posts here, just deleted the "NAM super inputs" facebook group that he originally created and where I was an admin too, and blocked me on fb. Sorry guys, now I'll go cry in a corner of my bedroom.

EDIT: actually the group still exists, he just banned my profile and all my pages. A clear sign he can't stand critiques and discussions.
That's... Not what adults do, I've been told.

I hope this doesn't put you off the whole thing, though, because there definitely is merit to the sweepy antialiasing thing and I would be very grateful if it was developed further. The TTSv10 and xSTD capture is the closest I've gotten so far to capturing the D. B. Cooper amp accurately.

In a comparison test of V3 STD, V3 xSTD and TTS xSTD the latter came out on top, even if the reduction in ESR was comparable between the two xSTD models.

It won't put me off personally, I'm still trying inputs with all kind of test tones other than those sine sweeps, but until now I still haven't found something better than TTSv10 in terms of aliasing performance and ESR.
The only way to make the anti-aliasing better with the input file alone seem to be increasing its length or increasing the number of epochs... But in both cases the improvement is marginal, we won't get to the equivalent of 8x or 16x oversampling this way.

Andrei, the Russian guy who made the xSTD architecture, is working on a new similar one but more efficient at detecting aliasing, so maybe we'll see a more substantial improvement with that.
