On a different note: NAM is love, NAM is life!This is the setup of my band TEMPEST - super convenient, but yet loud enough to really get walls shaking. The cabinets are 2x12 Harley Benton Verticals, one with Marshall G12 Vintage I bought from The Other John Browne, and one with the regular Chinese V30s. Sounds great!

My current rig (I'd like it to be smaller again but the wireless is too big). I leave it on the amp and control from airstep. I've used the namplayer for 20-30 gigs already!

I made a thread for my experiments in power amp captures with NAM versus Tonex, and also running the amp with built in attenuation. No graphs or such, just sound clips.

As a general rule, I am not big on censorship in most cases ... but in a case this obvious, I would go with A ... why ... "the more you kick a turd, the more shit you get on your own feet"

And just to once again show his maturity and to confirm @Audio Transformer wasn't the same person at all... Our friend "Francois", after reading our posts here, just deleted the "NAM super inputs" facebook group that he originally created and where I was an admin too, and blocked me on fb. Sorry guys, now I'll go cry in a corner of my bedroom.

EDIT: actually the group still exists, he just banned my profile and all my pages. A clear sign he can't stand critiques and discussions.

It won't put me off personally, I'm still trying inputs with all kind of test tones other than those sine sweeps, but until now I still haven't found something better than TTSv10 in terms of aliasing performance and ESR.
The only way to make the anti-aliasing better with the input file alone seem to be increasing its length or increasing the number of epochs... But in both cases the improvement is marginal, we won't get to the equivalent of 8x or 16x oversampling this way.

Andrei, the Russian guy who made the xSTD architecture, is working on a new similar one but more efficient at detecting aliasing, so maybe we'll see a more substantial improvement with that.

I've always been of that opinion... And my last capture of a drive pedal shows that incontrovertibly, to the point that I consider that capture unusable.

I got the NAM XT this weekend, works really well on my iPhone! Also pleasantly surprised I could get it set up with my HX Stomp via USB cable and use the Stomp for post-FX and output. If anyone wants to know how to set it up let me know. Should work the same way with the regular NAM player on a computer as well. This will hopefully get me to less tweaking and more playing when away from my amp.

Now I need to set up some matching presets between NAM XT and the Stomp since when changing presets on Stomp a message is sent so that the corresponding preset is loaded in NAM XT via USB-MIDI.

This is basically what I wanted out of TONEX once upon a time, but their iOS app is forgotten and buggy as all hell. One of my few gripes with NAM XT in my use case is that the hit areas on some of the UI controls are difficult to trigger, so some usability tweaks would be welcome.

I am pretty sure this will be a great sounding setup but NAM XT currently only supports preset changes with a PC. GigFast Lite could suite you better, with channels acting like snapshots if you don't use more than one NAM loader at a time. Also all parameters can be assigned to MIDI.
