NAM: Neural Amp Modeler

No, just check appstore.
I did again and still nothing new. Then I went into Safari and searched for “GigFast” and the search result was a prompt to update!
Got it now. Not sure why the App Store was letting me stay at previous version but it’s all good now.
Sounds great, design is good so far. Well worth the price assuming it stays supported it’s probably a steal at that price actually!

TIL that I can use my Behringer DI400P as a tap from my Speaker Out jacks on my amps. Working on some full profiles of the Stealth, albeit with some ground noise. Excited to see how it turns out!

Ha, it modeled my ground loop noise too! Not how I really wanted it to turn out but it modeled my USB chatter rather faithfully :rofl

Using TZ3000 btw

I finally got around to trying TONEZONE3000. Even without the final batch processing functionality in place, doing the training in parallel is such a smooth experience. I’ve probably trained 500+ captures on Colab at this point, and this is such a better experience just a few minutes in. No lost sessions due to inactivity after the training is done.

I do wonder if the difference in available metadata fields between TONEZONE3000 and the other trainers will come up in a future NAM-based product.

I did some reamping of my AMT R1 pedal into the return of my 6505 last night. Not sure if they are worth sharing until I evaluate, but so far a good experience with TONEZONE3000.

I took my first stab at creating a NAM capture. This is a 1000 epoch capture of my Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp through the power amp of my Mark III head. Its a direct capture - 1960A cab as the load captured through the Mesa's slave out.

this NAM capture sound pretty good with the Ola The One IR

Great playing on that demo!

Shreddy & tasteful!

This time, I am showcasing the new chorus and delay effects alongside the powerful Parametric Multi-Channel Amp Model ARC-050.

Visit Appstore to explore the incredible tone-shaping potential, with support for NAM loader, custom IRs, and our parametric amp models. http://arteradsp.com/get

Just a quick observation. I've been using NAM with my Roland QuadCapture audio interface. It's a reasonably old entry-level one, but it works fine for my needs. I've noticed that the SPDIF in and out do not work with NAM. I've tried analog in, digital out. And digital in, analog out, and neither work. For comparison, I've also tried the same configurations with Plini X, and both work perfectly. Is this a known limitation, or is it a bug? And can I log it anywhere?

An in-depth review of GigFast Lite, highlighting the wide range of tonal possibilities and the dynamic response of our Parametric Modeled Amps. (Video is in Turkish, but captions are available.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if this refers to you using the standalone NAM app, made by Steve, it's pretty limited and only works when using 'input 1' of an audio interface, not 'input 2' or whatever else comes after that.

You'll be best off using the plugin version in your DAW, or if you do only want to use a standalone app, then try a 3rd party product that supports NAM eg. Genome / Tonocracy / Nam Universal / Gigfast ... etc.

The example NAM standalone app is pretty limited due to problems higher upstream with the iPlug2 framework. That being said, if anyone reading this can help with fixing that, then I'm sure a PR would be welcomed on the github.

Really good to know, thanks!

Hi everyone,

Here’s some exciting news from us! :)

We’ve added a highly anticipated upgrade to the EQ—it’s now fully parametric! 🎛️ Plus, we’ve included EQ presets: Default (Plugin), Classic British (Mshl), and American Style (Fndr).

Additionally, we’ve expanded the MIDI CC commands. For example, Delay Tap Tempo and Bank UP/DOWN are now possible in all modes via MIDI.
