Nice!
Do you still have your Germino? Just supplementing?

What a beast. The sound of rock. The look of rock. Near mint 2024 JCM 800 2203x off of reverb. Love it.
Me? No, I did sell the Lead 35 I had. Might pickup a different flavor Germino somedayNice!

I opted for two clones of that amp- one Michael Whitney and then a Ceriatone- both wonderfulWhat a beast. The sound of rock. The look of rock. Near mint 2024 JCM 800 2203x off of reverb. Love it.
Back shots… Don’t know what the star stickers mean on the tubes and why one is green… Those red bases tubes I believe are TAD (sourced from China possibly but I’m not sure).
Back doesn’t say X either.
The capacitors are Tube Amp Doctor.
Transformer labels… guessing the Vietnamese ones.

InterestingDon’t know if anyone else has noticed but Marshall seems to have quietly renamed the 2203. It no longer carries the ‘X’ moniker.
I noticed when I recently got a new JCM 800. It was labeled as 2203-01 on the box. Some sites also show it as 2203-01 and have it labeled as from the ‘Vintage Series’.
Sure enough a quick check on the Marshall (US) web page. They also seem to highlight that it’s “Master Volume”… The box label also had this boldly shown.

I have the Ceriatone 2203 as well. Added a buffered loop and a fixed 4700pf bright cap. Deleted the push pull preamp pot.I opted for two clones of that amp- one Michael Whitney and then a Ceriatone- both wonderfulCongratulations on a stone killer and timeless classic
I know it’s quite controversial especially after Headfirst “exposed” it. lolYeah, they are Vietnam made. Mine is a 2024 and has same as yours.
He also says the Marshall effects loop isn’t good, but I disagree.I know it’s quite controversial especially after Headfirst “exposed” it. lol
But honestly doesn’t bother me.
Woa awesome!!! YES- those transformers Nick uses make his amps punch way above their weightI have the Ceriatone 2203 as well. Added a buffered loop and a fixed 4700pf bright cap. Deleted the push pull preamp pot.

I’m running reissue greenbacks with mine plus a Scumback DBL attenuator at -9db. Helps a lot.
The TS9 and SD1 are both awesome in slightly different ways paired with a 2203.
