Exactly why these are my favorite Fenders. I also have a TMDR which is a fine sounding amp that I will continue to use but, yeah….there is that and then there is this.

It is a great sounding am for sure. My friend Tony Bruno went through it on Sunday and we got some mods out of there and put it back to spec. Plus a couple of what I call “Tony tweaks” and it is sounding pretty juicy. One of the mods that was done previously was the output transformer was replaced with a Mercury Magnetics Bassman trans. This gives a tighter and more ballsy response, a little louder too. It sounds really good so I think it will keep it in there, at least until I can find an original ‘68 trans. I also stuck a set of Creambacks in it and man does this thing rock! It had a pair of Cannabis Rex speakers but I am not a big fan of those. If anybody is looking for a broken in pair of C -Rex let me know.

Creambacks and a vintage fender kick ass!! I pillaged the creamback from my ‘76 DR for my recent shenanigans and was thinking about trying something else in there but I feel like another creamback is the safest bet

Creambacks in general just kick ass lol
