Putting together a rig for Seussical and the Bad Cat seemed too perfect for a show with The Cat in The Hat!

So I’m playing my Strat through a Fat Rat into a Bad Cat. How about that!

Is that a hint? :rofl

It really is the most perfect rig I can imagine for this work.

I love when I show up with 4 instruments and the sound guy asks “how many channels do you need?” And I can answer “how many do you want?”

Honestly I think someone with your gig should have a good digital rig at least as an option, and the Axe FX 3 + FC-12 is probably the best/most versatile digital rig on the market. Especially as you have non-electric instruments in the mix, and you don't have to worry about trying to run monitors on top of guitar amps, etc.

Yeah, the acoustic instruments is the big one that always keeps me in digital because I start thinking even if I had an analog electric rig I’d still need a way to process all the acoustic instruments and switch between instruments. The best way to handle that is with something digital, and then I start thinking if I’ve already got something digital for the acoustics I might as well just use that for electric too instead of hauling a whole second rig.

I’ve though about building out something like a board with multiple analog preamps and some effects with a MIDI switcher to handle the acoustic stuff, but the problem is it starts taking up too much space and I often don’t have much room in the pit. Especially floor space.
