Went to GC today: Part 2 (more random amp thoughts)

- Fender Blues Jr is a solid little amp.

I’ve liked Blues Jrs when I’ve played through them. I keep thinking about buying a couple of used ones and making a stereo rig.

I think stores like this should charge an hourly fee for "in-house music equipment rentals" (giving people content for posts). They would make a lot of money!

I’m thinking through exactly what I want this amp to do, what I plan to use it for, how much I want to spend… also just reacquainting myself with some tube amps I haven’t played in a really long time

Figuring out what’s going to work best for me

It's kind of indispensable to be able to hear/feel them all in the
same space like that. Hard to get tricked by our ears and brains
when we have the ability to direct compare in the space of an hour
or so.

Yeah, I like the Blues Jr much better than the Hot Dog Deluxe.

Yeah, I was really excited to find one place that let me play all of these amps next to each other. It was really helpful

I haven’t, that one has been on my radar as well. I’d love to get a chance to try one!

Most Z’s I’ve played have been exceptional

iirc, I've only played a Maz once. Played a set with another band's amp and I think it was one of those. Sounded great!

OMG… I’m getting an amp tomorrow and I have such a cool story to tell about it!!

I’m so excited I don’t know how I’ll be able to sleep, glad I’ve got a gig to distract myself, haha.

OP, I wish our local GCs had anything like the amps you played. We have solid state trash. Little more than practice amps. No real guitars to speak of.
