Metallica for me.

I’ve tried countless times to get into Megadeth over the years but Dave’s voice sounds like a sniveling teenager most of the time and I’ve never had a hook from a Megadeth tune stuck in my head.

Dave does have a "sneer" quality.

While Hetfield's and Hammett's performance on Master Of Puppets were what has ignited my everlasting love for guitar honestly... Megadeth. These days I rather hear a Megadeth song, than a new Metallica song.

While I can't stand that c**t Mustaine I am much more drawn to the riffs, the grooves and the themes.

Also Dave Mustaine manages to always have amazing lead players. He changes them like others change underwear, but that's not my business...

One of the worst singers ever. Megadeth and Exodus - both among the originators of Thrash, absolutely brilliant instrumentally, but tragically ruined by abysmal vocals.

I LOVE me some Exodus. Usually because of guitar work. I always scratch my head when people complain about vocalists over this particular type of music. You aren't putting operatic trad metal vocals over it because they wouldn't fit. Neither would death metal vocals. What kind of vocal do you expect on top of thrash other than thrash vocals?

Tough call between Peace Sells... and Rust in Peace (how did I not realize until now that both albums have "Peace" in the title?)... but my fave is Rust in Peace.

Metallica gets my vote overall. I love it all except Lulu and St Anger.

I'm specifically talking about Baloff. Don't know if there was another singer.

Edit - Oh, I didn't know he died. 😬

Well, there are a lot of great Thrash vocalists. Mustaine, Ballof and Zetro are not among them.

The sloppy bum just came back

I think thrash is a tough genre as a singer. Can't usually do a melody over a lot of it so most thrash singers have a character style voice. AKA Zetro, Blitz. I think Mustaine back in the day vocally was awesome. That sneer was :chef

You think those albums are great, wait 'til you hear, "Rust In Peace Sells... And Business Is Good!"
