This is the kind of thing you listen to and say, "This band helped me get through some relatively easy times."
i might say more appropriately, that it caused harder ones.

No no no it was the overall sense of expecting something good out of 2025 Alice Cooper new material. I must be jadedWoah, dude - I'm not in the band! I was making fun of them, even.
It's pretty top-shelf weedly-weedly, at least.... this here however is cheesy lyrics with some weedly-weedly on top.
Ironically, I hark back to the simple, raw elegance of e.g. "I'm Eighteen" and think, "Surely, they can do that again, and surely it would be fucking awesome. No?"No no no it was the overall sense of expecting something good out of 2025 Alice Cooper new material. I must be jaded![]()

RJD's lyrics were dopey nonsense. (He'd write them sitting in front of his TV watching baseball - very metal.) But he'd at least keep things moving along briskly enough to achieve something close to "enigmatic". (That's the good version of "dopey nonsense".) Also the guitar riffs were bad(ass) AF.„Ride the tiger
You can see his stripes but you know he‘s clean“
Great, great song. WTF lyrics. It can work.
The example in the first post, though…
Yeah, it's kind of the Hard Rock version of "Put your hands in the air like you just don't care".RJD's lyrics were dopey nonsense. It's the repetition and the "hi, I am a rock musician who is really rocking at you" schtick that makes me insane. Just. So. Redundant. "OK OK I CAN SEE WITH MY OWN TWO EYES THAT YOU PEOPLE ARE ROCKING RIGHT NOW!"

I am sorry, I might have been a little crabby seeing as it is mid May yet...
It's gonna be cold cold cold cold cold

Plus, my wife wants me to step into the freezer
Please her with a tweezer
So I went out for lunch today and the temps were in the freaking 40's, and I mean the colder American degrees, not real degrees C like in the rest of the world. Ugh! I need to write some crap lyrics so I can afford to move further south!
