I spent quite some time on a DR yesterday. Once you get volume up to like 6+, the feel is just AMAZING....it's like ooey, gooey bubbly elastic. I could play on that forever.

I can get some sense of that feel coming through in this video - but yes, I would expect maybe more dirt at 10. Reminds me of the Amplitube models which hardly have any breakup even when you crank it up. But I do like the 'clang' that I'm hearing - usually you hear that more with the bigger iron amps. But it sounds great!

This is either a non reverb deluxe model, which is a cleaner amp due to having one less gain stage, OR something is wrong with their deluxe reverb.

A little confused about this. The Deluxe Reverb in HX has the behavior I’d expect and that matches my real amp. This is different.

Very not pumped about this. The Deluxe Reverb in HX sounded fine. Was really hoping for an Agoura version of that amp. Not this.

The Helix version also doesn't specify the "reverb" aspect right? But it's still a Deluxe Reverb from my understanding

We have the same understanding, however right or wrong. I’m not seeing anything officially stating the model for either version so I could be mistaken.

At the very least we can state for fact that the drive behavior between the Hx Deluxe and the Agoura Deluxe is wildly different. The Hx at those settings is kind of a flame thrower. I love it.

@Digital Igloo do you have any specs on the black panel deluxe? Is it the same one modeled in Hx?

I don't have time to email people but I just checked the US Luxe Black model and it's crunchy as hell with the Drive at 10.0 and the guitar volume all the way up (Jazzmaster with Seymour Duncan humbucker).

Good news and bad news. The bad news is what I had to pay to get decent, but not great, seats for one of the Rush Fifty Something shows in Chicago next July. The good news is that it wasn't so much I had to cancel my Stadium XL preorder.
