Line 6 Helix Stadium

DI mentioned that HX amps which have an Agoura equivalent will be moved to a "legacy" folder in the amp selection dialog.
Right, but I think he’s wondering if the Agoura amps will be labeled as such, or will we have to cross reference a list of Agoura amps to know which ones they are in the non legacy folder?

I wonder if it wouldn’t make more sense to have separate Agoura and HX folders instead of a legacy folder… especially considering that the first amps that will be moved to the legacy folder are some of the newest HX amps.

Yep, I assumed the new ones would be the Amp->Guitar, and the HX ones in "Legacy" or "HX".

Ahh, sorry 🤦‍♂️ good question...

We should ask @Digital Igloo , but keeping a separate tab for Agoura vs HX sounds kinda clunky. I imagine having a "legacy" subfolder where amps move over as they're re-modeled then is a much better UX.

It’s handsome but has a bit of a Zoom vibe to it. That’s not my preference but it is what it is.

To me, it seems weird mixing amps that will have a difference in "feel" or whatever subtleties the new modeling technology brings.

I expect that difference to be somehow noticeable, and ok, I'm aware they're will be mixed amps in the Amp category, but newcomers could easily start saying "this (Agoura) amp feels different than this (HX) amp", without knowing the reason why.

However I know Line6's decisions are thoughtful, so it must make sense in terms of either usability or marketing. Off the top of my head I'd say it looks better having dozens of amps instead of just 16+6.

As long as there's a way to identify which technology the amp was made with, I'm fine. I can look at a 16+6 list on day one, but after several updates I know I'll need a simpler way XD

Yeah, I agree. I know Line 6 knows what they're doing, but I also worry that if it isn't clear what is what, people will have a bad first impression by accidentally picking a non-Agoura amp when demoing, and then walk away saying "it sounds and feels the same"... especially since it sounds like most of their oldest Helix models will be carried over as-is for now.

If they're not clearly marked, I hope the Agoura amps are at least at the top so you have to scroll a bit to get to the old ones.

That should be easy just maybe make the Agoura model names a different Color like blue font in the amp list or something to show it

Well didn’t zoom and head rush already have touchscreens on units.? And raised levels for f switches? It does look less unique then helix did 10 yrs ago maybe because so many units are starting to look similar to eachother in many ways?

dude mentioned specifically modeling now the separate individual impedance between gain stages, and the capacitance of specific chassis wiring. i can't fuckin wait to hear what this is gonna translate to under the edge-of-breakup plectrum
