Let's face it, betatesters have an (unfair? No idea...) advance over plain users when it comes to content creation. Many moons back I actually planned to come up with a kinda semi-commercial Logic thing (mix of videos and PDFs), but as I was out of the beta team by then (simply because I didn't jump onto the Apple train early enough), that was a pointless thing because when new versions were released, it would've taken me a lot of time to cover anything new - but at the very release days the betatesting authors already had their books and what not ready.

The clear answer is for Sascha to buy a Helix Stadium, ask to join beta, and inundate the beta forums with requests for global blocks.

Well, I have been rejected to take part in the (semi-public or whatever...) betatesting back when I had a Floor (and when there was a form on your forums). So there's that.

And fwiw, as far as global blocks discussions go, I'm only initiating some things (and not even all that often, in all seriousness). The folks making it a long-winded affair are those that don't understand the reasons for them to even become a request.

We shall see. Right now, I seem to need more guitars (bought enough of them to cover the expense of a Stadium ever since it was released). Wouldn't mind getting one, though. But I possibly need some more incentives.

Thank you @Digital Igloo and the Line 6 team - awesome to have another update. I’ve only had a quick play tonight and I’m really liking the new Matchless….. very much up my street.

Thanks also to @brianwahl for the Vox captures - I managed to load them up and there’s some really nicely put together sounds in there IMO. I appreciate it :) I think, when you proxy the Bad Cat that I saw on your page that may be falling into my basket.

I’ll RTFM at the weekend and get to know Proxy (plus the other tweaks that have been added) - I have very little to capture at home compared to most of you but I’ll ease myself in with a pedal or two and see how I get on.

Got everything updated. I only played around with the one preset I've been using since 1.2.1 or whatever the most recent prior firmware was. Not a lot of change to my ear. I might have had a situation that the non-default cab bug that got fixed applied, but if that's the case it was pretty subtle in my preset. Since I was trying out the new firmware I was listening for toanz rather than music, and in that mode of listening I was again reminded that there's something about the EoB/mid-gain realm that I really enjoy wit Agoura. I'll try out the new amps one of these days. Neither the Matchless or Oranges were amp models I bonded with on my OG LT. Maybe they'll be like the Fenders where I enjoy them much more in the Agoura rendition.

Thank you! Do you mean the Classic Deluxe (the Bad Cat)? That’s a great sounding amp. We have more than a few Bad Cats though, ha

So, I have a basically new Orange Rockerverb MkIII 100.

Time for a test?

First proxy capture was EVH 5150iii 50w Ivory Red chan on gain about 4.5. I dont like doing captures with pedals built in so its unboosted.

Source compared to the capture was very close. Using the clone in a new preset and gating/boosting it, all feels pretty good and you wouldnt think its "lesser" than the amp. Currently pushing the envelope and doing another with with gain around 6. I want to see if it breaks up and farts in on itself like captures of yesteryear.

1 capture down, so far so good. I'll share a preset/capture later today.

I'm not going to keep sharing every finding but this is what the gain on 6 one sounds like. Real amp --> Proxy.
It's obviously the extreme end of the spectrum and while the capture isnt as good as the real amp, inside of a preset with a boost and all that it would definitely be usable which is a lot better than the issues I had with ToneX v1 and these kinds of captures.

Anyway, a day of figuring out where Proxy currently shines and then comparing it to NAM/ToneX
