Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

Hold the Home and Song buttons and turn the unit on. The unit will boot into maintenance mode where you can do a full backup to the SD card. You could also select "Forget Wi-FI & Bluetooth Networks" and then reset that in hopes that it brings back up the wifi/login wizard.
That worked and was able to transfer to new Stadium. Thank you

If I add a block, it's immediately turned on for every snapshot.

How can I add a block so that it's turned off for every snapshot, except the snapshot I'm on?

I think that's not possible except for certain very DSP-consuming blocks. I wish it was. I didn't like it in my LT either.

Thought I'd share this here too: https://www.reddit.com/r/Line6Helix/s/pZSRrAfRwt

Shouldn't the arrows in preset up/down switches labels be the opposite direction? 🤨

In the OG helix you can swap the switches position in the preference (arrows will still point the same direction). I guess there's the same preference in the Stadium too.

To answer the question: no is correct (arrow up goes up in preset numbers) but can be confusing (hence the preference).

I've set my helix swapped.

Edit: yes preference is there

The OG Helix could do this with a workaround that took a few steps (but quite quick to perform):
1. Add the new block
2. Bypass it
3. Copy it
4. Paste it back again

Now it's bypassed on all snapshots. I assume this would still work for the Stadium if there isn't a more elegant way implemented.

Yep, that swaps the switches, and in the LT it's fine (I have it in mine), but with scribble strips you still see the arrows pointing in the "wrong" direction, although inverted.

Arrow up = you go from preset 1A to 1B, and also move down in the presets list.

Not a huge deal, anyway.

I'm struggling with the expression pedal; I want it to auto engage from heel-down (i.e. when you move it towards toe down).... but I also want the switch to change between things like wah and whammy or wah and delay mix.

However, to do this, I have to move it through the full range to click the switch to change function.

There must be a better way to do this - does anyone have any ideas?

You can assign multiple things to the pedal travel activation.

Yep, but to change from one to another, I have to move the pedal through the full range to click the switch to change it, and then move it back from 100% to 0% - so you (for example) get a wah effect before I click the switch to change it to a whammy, and then a whammy effect while I return it to 0%.

Yeah, I think in this instance you get one or the other unless you want to use the same expression pedal backwards (toe down is low parameters, heel is high). That’s how I used it for whammy pitch up so the toe switch activated it, toe position was 0, heel down was plus 12.

I know and I had the same "issue" before they introduced the swapping preference, once swapped I simply ignore the arrow.

I used to go the wrong direction all the time, especially live, because in my mind lower switch means next and upper switch means previous.

Well I took the bait for the 15% off (non XL version) and will give it a try at that price. If I don't feel like it competes with my AF3 it'll go right back. :bag
