Hey all, First post here.

I'm halfway through this thread but wondering a couple of things I haven't seen mentioned anywhere yet.
How is the new expression pedal? Had the OG helix for a long while, that was hard to adjust to a sweet spot.
Any Santana/Carlton tones in the 2C+? I'll I'm hearing is chugs and as good as they sound, I don't do that much.

I played around with it just a bit. Definitely could get some cool effects with it, but, again, I just don't see how you're supposed to use it in a performance situation.

I mean, I wouldn't want to edit ANYTHING during a performance. Ideally you should hash all that out before you're at a gig or wasting your band's time with fiddling with your modeler during practice lol

I'm not talking about editing, I'm talking about using the XY controller screen. Have you done anything with that?

I'm doing that all the time. Well, not really, but I defenitely rather allow myself to do some small finetunings instead of playing with a sub par sound.

Isn’t that for editing your tone? I haven’t used it - I don’t have the stadium. It’s not a function I would care about myself - I would be more interested in other stadium features like uploading a track etc

You don’t need to be logged in to update over usb. I couldn’t log in when I got my device (the code was a generic 123456), so I updated via Line 6 Central app.

Afterwards, it let me log in, and I’ve been having a blast with it

It would give you that -16 error when you’re trying install the update, mentioned earlier in the thread, if you aren’t logged in on the device even if you’re using a usb cable.

Isn’t that for editing your tone?

It's more like a performance tool, allowing you to map various parameters to the X/Y-axis. Kinda like a Korg KAOSS pad.

If you don't know what you're talking about, why on earth would you weigh in?

The IIC+ model definitely does the Santana and Carlton stuff. They’ve got all the pull knobs and switches available so you can pretty much do everything that amp does. The cleans are otherworldly.

Just wondering - since you’ve started again, was this at 1.2? Maybe that has helped?

I was still having the issue on 1.2, with presets I made on 1.1. But yes, the new presets are 1.2.

This was a common problem for me with helix. Once or twice a year, something in my main template would get corrupted and I would need to nuke it and start over. I never said much about it, I’m a power user and push a preset really far with a ton of controllers and crap so I’m not terribly surprised when something goes sideways at some point.

Imagine instead of an XY - it's a Wah Wah (or just a Y), and you told someone who was asking about 'how to use a wah wah' that they shouldn't edit that during a performance, instead, to have it 'set' prior to that performance. . .

Kinda funny. (It's a good thing).

So, have you figured out a good use for it, and how you plan to use it during a gig?

I think my confusion came from a performance feature needing touchscreen manipulation. All good now

I tried importing a couple of presets that were posted in this thread. From @mikah912 i think?

Both imported completely empty. I redid the Mesa one after redownloading and it was ok. The 80s prest i justreimported and it was ok.

Any one else get this?

The only reason why I used the USB is because I couldn’t log in on the device. So I had to log in on the central app - not the Stadium hardware or Stadium App.

Next time, I should be able to update directly over WiFi.

Nope - not my thing, but pretty sure you can map the parameters to eg. a foot pedal and explore from there.
