Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

Orchid do a 2 channel one that would work fine with TS cables. So you'd go TRS out of Helix to TSx2 into the isolator, then into the amp. I think.

I have one of those Boogie midi switcher doohicky box things, so I'm good for that side of it.
Ditto this. I have a Morley two channel one as well. It has worked for me in my rigs and in some of my cabling leading to some studio speakers.

The plug and the two channel are must haves for me

Did you have the noise problem with other heads or is it a Mesa thing? TBH; I won't probably end up taking the Mark and HX out of the house at the same time anyway for gigging. If I do; I'll probably just bring the channel switch and move on.

They were different ones that failed at different times. Idk man it comes up if you search around here or TOP. Having to send mine off once a year kind of seems high when I've never had to for any other pedal I've ever owned but maybe that's my own luck.

Lots of people had issues with the switches.

That cab is sick as fucccckkk. BTW, did you list any stuff with Sell Us Your Guitar at any point???

Thank you - I got it (and the Matamp C7 it pairs with) from eBay maybe 15 years ago. Speaker inside is an original Celestion greenback with ‘made in Ipswich’ written on it.

When I was playing in a mums and dad’s cover band, I gigged this and had to use the attenuator it came with so as not to drown everyone else out on a small stage. The owner of Matamp told me that they’re ’Yorkshire watts and if we counted them the same way everyone else does it would be rated as a 20 watt amp not a 7’. I met him because I built a kit valve amp (I needed something cleaner than the Matamp and I built a bunch of dirt pedals for variety). He made me a cabinet for it whilst I waited whilst reluctantly admitting my soldering wasn’t too bad. Fun experience. I took the cab up there with me - the grill on the cab was originally a kind of green and I wasn’t a fan (plus it was a bit tatty). Jeff replaced the cloth with the one you see in the picture. I have a Hottone Loudster power amp so I’ll (carefully!) try the Stadium with this over the coming days.

I tried capturing the C7 with my Kemper when I first got it - I failed miserably. I’ll have another go when Proxy comes out. It’s a weird, angry little bugger and it would be good if stealing its soul in an accurate way were do-able.

Tell me more about ‘Sell Us Your Guitar’. It’s not ringing any bells but I’m getting dafter as the years pass! I doubt I did - I seem to be better at acquiring gear than selling it!

When can I preorder a P47 and a P51? :D
Helix Floor was P21. You do the math. :idk
Why does the circle reset to centre when you come back to a previously adjusted block?
Congrats! You found #241 of things that drive me nuts in 1.1. The real answer is the lens location is no longer representative of the tone as soon as you adjust a single parameter knob, but yeah, the experience should be that the lens location is at least remembered. I think that’s addressed in 1.2, but our plane’s about to land.

Eric, as I watch you respond to and offer support for posts here while flying to (what I hope is) some sort of tropical destination, I'm reminded of the episode of The Office when they're in Tallahassee to launch the Sabre Pyramid tablet, and Florida Stanley turns to Jim and says, "You have no idea how to vacation" 😂

If you are on vacation, I hope it's a good one! And very well deserved.

Thanks for the reply - good to know it’s not just me :). Enjoy your break - I’m looking forward to exploring more tomorrow. It’ll take me a while to know it as well as I want to as I’m not used to the helix ecosystem. I think the fact that I’ve been able to more or less make it do what I want without instructions is indicative that your ‘ease of use’ ambitions have come right.

Another focus view issue that rather small is when the white text overlays white/bright making it hard to read

Which one is the Helix Stadium in this 4-way comparison? The other 3 are real amps - Germino Lead 55, Friedman Plex, Suhr SL67 MkII. Different amps but still fun - Lock in your votes! (Try not to rewind)

C sounds best to me - I would have a hard time believing it's not a real amp.

Believe D is also a real amp. That leaves A or B as the Stadium to me - likely A

I was showing off the new gear to my son who's home from college this afternoon and noticed for the first time that when you touch and drag the focus circle it turns into the little, for lack of a better word, asshole icon. There's gotta be a better word, but it's been a long week, y'all, and that's the best I can come up with. Okay, I guess, I could just have said the "focus"icon, but that's not nearly as much fun.
