1.2 by the end of fall—because we said "fall" on June 11th—so yeah, by December 21.

January (EDIT: Hopefully!) is 1.2.X (editor update only) which will add Yamaha's Extrack (stem separation, tempo analysis, and song section analysis) to Showcase song import.

I didn’t know we were getting stem separation this soon - that’s great news. I’ll be able to murder all my favourite songs way before springtime :)

How come I'm the only one talking about the weird sounding Plexi? Is no one else detecting this - or am I doing something wrong?

It sounds broken for whatever reason. Any else feel this way?

There are extensive posts in this thread from last week where myself and @brianwahl discuss the Plexi.

I don’t like the Stadium Plexi AT ALL. That said, I’m not sure it’s broken so much as just a specification I don’t like. My own guess based on zero factual knowledge of what L6 modeled is that their Plexi may be a late 60s spec. The 60s Superleads/Plexis used looser, saggier filtering that has a bit more of the JTM45 thing than what I prefer…which is the 70s Superleads which are stiffer and brighter.

Truthfully I’m not sure if there’s an issue. I genuinely like all the other Agoura models. I sincerely hope we either eventually get a 70s Superlead or a parameter to switch to 70s spec in the existing model. It’s unusable for my purposes and I play a Superlead every day.

I’ve just accepted that L6 and I have different taste in those amps. I hated the Helix Plexi too.

But that's the thing - I don't hate the Helix Plexi (albeit, I do play with sag etc.) - this one sounds wildly different. Can't possibly be the same amp?

You mean that when you start cranking it, you hear a squeal-y, weird high pitch thing rolled in with the distortion?

I noticed that too. And cranking "Hype" doesn't get rid of it.

I hear it when you turn up the treble and presence really high on the Marshall Superbass too, although that amp model is way better and has a much more usable range before you get to that point.

I figured something was off too. I will say for Chili Pepper-esque single coil chording and licks...it does that well. And that's mostly what I use any Plexi model for these days.

But cranking it produces something waaaaaaaay different than the HX Plexi.

Should non-XL Stadium be expected for March 20th as well? I'd like to think it's not the same situation as with XL because there's no first firmware version that needs to be finished in order to release the beast.

Because March 20th is the end of Winter? No, Stadiums should be available long before then.

Have you tried messing with the pre/post Z parameter on the Plexi? From its description it sounds like the old soul control mod - basically substituting a pot for the negative feedback resistor. More negative feedback = tighter and cleaner and less NFB = looser, a little more raw with more gain.
