Line 6 Helix Stadium Pre-Launch Discussion

Oh WOW!

My unit is on the way - just shipped from GC! It's amazing because I switched from MF to GC (better rewards) exactly 2 weeks ago and it still worked out!

My first time ever ordering something early - usually I wait 3-5 years before getting something like this. There goes all my self discipline - but I do think this unit is worth it. Can't wait to get it!

What I'm trying to say is that I was never really happy with the amps and also the od in general, but the way they made the fuzz react so close to the real ones really impressed me. I always give the example of how well it mimics the bendito of real fuzz faces when you roll the volume just a touch, it takes the mud out leaving pretty much all the gain. The way the Helix model does exactly that really made an impression on me.

Just checked - it says 'shipped' in my GC email but then it says 'label created' on the UPS website. However, when I talked to GC, they said that the UPS pickup for today would be in the 3pm - 6pm timeframe and it would actually be leaving the warehouse. Looks like it may be here this Friday / weekend.

A real surprise to me - for some reason, I'd just assumed in the back of my mind that I wouldn't get it till Feb 2026 because of my late order (even though my GC advisor told me that they had plenty of units available).

Either way - great news! :D

I never truly was happy with the amps on Helix, but the Fuzz stuff, specially the Fuzz Face - IMO - is the best digital recreation of the effect, behaving remarkably close the real ones. The way it reacts to the volume pot of the guitar is quite amazing. Of course we need to take into consideration how different the circuit can differ, but it does have all the stuff that makes me recognize the Fuzz Face thing. And you need to also be careful about the input impedance. Years ago I made this video to showcase the fuzz and the importance of the input impedance.

What fuzz is this btw? I'm not a fuzz lover - but this is a very musical fuzz....more to my taste.

Post in thread 'F@ck it. Wallet opened. Helix Stadium XL inbound…'

I decided to change my order from the XL to the regular stadium because I think I should wait until the OS is more advanced so when the regular stadium comes out next year, it should have a further advanced OS for me to actually use it and like it because I’m worried I’ll freak out like I did with the helix originally and return it too soon
