I had no issue with the tones at all. I just thought some of his criticism of the unit was misinformed, which unfortunately now goes out and gets repeated all over the net.

I think his main problem with it (gain staging) was actually found to be a bug, which was squashed.

So the tone and feel are there, the workflow couldn't be better, the connectivity is easy, everything is centered around you the player....what's left now? Practice and make music??

I got a shipping notice from MF. After all the flip-flopping about whether they do or don't have stock and whether they're shipping today or not I'll believe it when it's on my doorstep. I paid for overnight because I'm impatient, so we'll know tomorrow.

Chuck Levin's is also confirmed as having stock for new orders and shipping today. I canceled my order with them to keep the 20% MF discount after I got the shipping notice. That being said, Chuck Levin's has been more straight with me than SW or MF during this process. If it wasn't for the discount I'd order with them.

Yeah, I thought you killed it just as I expected. I will say that everyone seems to be allergic to the Agoura Bogner Ecstasy for some reason, especially the Red channel. I wanna hear some Lukather/Cantrell/80s hard rock riffing, dagnabit.

I mean, that was probably a fair observation on his part. I was more concerned about him seeming confused that there wasn’t a “new generation” of effects, or that amp modeling quality seemed inconsistent. He was comparing Agoura to non Agoura models. Just seemed odd.

Absolutely loving a lot of the Agoura tones. The crunch and gain clips in some of these videos today are definitely scratching the itch that the stock clips weren’t quite reaching.
