Not only have I used my Helix for keys, the guy who just bought my Helix last week bought it to use FOR KEYBOARD.
I know there’s a point you’re trying to make. I’m just not sure what it is. Flexibility is flexible. Bad assumptions aren’t.

The fact that you can use it with whatever you want does not change the fact it is made mainly for guitar.
from Line6.com
"Helix® amp and effects processors set the standard for ease of use when crafting authentic sounding and feeling guitar tones."
The only assumption is that a modeler created with guitarists as their main user should reflect that. As we've established by the website of the manufacturer of the pedal you used as an example, there's two options, low impedances for keyboards and high impedance for guitar; Helix and related products, as stated by Line 6, are made for guitar players. The better default option is obvious, no? I don't think I'm asking for anything absurd really.
