What's everyone's take on 1/4" vs. 1/8" phone jacks? 1/8" makes the most sense on something like POD Express—where people aren't likely connecting their Sennheiser HD800s—but it is 1/8" better or worse for something like HX Stomp?

1/4”

I’ve had 1/8” jacks come unplugged from a turn of the head. 1/4” seems much sturdier. (Purely anecdotal, so I could be wrong on a macro level.)

Nope, only feature you can’t footswitch, gotta load the same model 3 times.

1/4 inch all the way. 1/8 inch jacks and hardware always feels like they are waiting to break. I also use the Hx headphone out with an extension cable and have no issue with the current placement FWIW.

If there’s anything I absolutely don’t want, it’s a top-facing 1/4 jack on the unit for some asshole (probably me) to dump a beer in.

His post is a bit awkwardly written, but he’s saying 1/4” because it’s far easier to adapt a 1/8” plug to 1/4” than it is to step down from a 1/4” plug to 1/8”.

It was a joke. Why would Helix Stadium have less switching options than Helix? If the channels are are control in the amp they can definitely be mapped to Switches/Snapshots/Control Center

The channels appear to just be another parameter, kind of like if you want to toggle back and forth between the low and high inputs on the 2203. Totally doable.
