That is probably my most important takeaway from yesterday. To be honest, I previously considered this feature to be more of a gimmick. Nice, but not particularly important to me personally. And now I was sitting there in front of the device, moving the cursor back and forth on the touchscreen... and I instantly understood how great it actually is. Especially when I think about recordings... ‘Hey, I need a sound here that 's kind of like...’ swipe, swipe, done!
Damn, I feel so hyped today, almost like a little kid waiting for Christmas. I can hardly wait for the day when I can finally order a Helix Stadium (non-XL, because I want to put it on my desk).
Thanks again @Digital Igloo for being such a nice and approachable guy.
I thought it was the coolest feature on the device, but that’s probably because I moved from helix to fm9 and love what all I can do with block channels. Being able to have multiple sounds dialed in per block that doesn’t have to be tied to a footswitch is huge. You could sort of do that with favorites but you end up with tons of favorites and I never took enough advantage of that as a result. Custom focus zones is gonna be an amazingly powerful feature.
