Same here. Between the pandemic and my wife’s cancer battle during the pandemic we didn’t go anywhere for years either. Being around people again took getting used to. Watch out for your mental health with this. I slipped into some serious depression because I didn’t.

The videos from this show over the weekend have mostly been superb, especially the Anderton’s one. I’m genuinely excited to get one and I haven’t felt that way about a piece of music gear in quite some time. From what they’ve shown us, it’ll be excellent on day one and the fact that it will continue to evolve and improve is the icing on the cake.

My hat is tipped in the direction of DI and the others who attended the show with Stadium; you could see that the messages they wanted to get across at this show were absolutely nailed down between them prior to turning up. The consistency of what they got across and the way it was done was clearly the result of an awful lot of planning. I think the teaser campaign each week was already doing a great job and, for me, the content from this show built on that in a methodical way. Pretty slick to be able to do that when you’ve got the randomness of content creators to deal with.

Their pre release marketing and touring is awesome, it is the proper way to promote a new flagship, @Digital Igloo is also not being vague and pulling a NDSP " Soon" he is giving a release time frame which is great.

Watched the Andertons video. Confirmed what I already thought anyway. For me, the thing would adress many issues with all-in-one modeling units as is already, and it likely only gets better.
For me, the non-XL would likely really be perfect. Given that my patch/switch layouts are very similar throughout ages already, I likely wouldn't need the scribble strips, and while I've always been a "yes please" guy regarding built in EXP pedals, this has changed a bit already.
Being able to grab just the core unit whenever you don't need a pedal is great already and adds to the ease of transportation (one of the reasons I sold the Floor defenitely was its size/weight, which simply wasn't suitable for any standard traveling suitcase or backpack). But the most important thing would possibly be that with this thing, I'd likely never even use an editor at all. I'd get a dedicated stand, place it there and enjoy the most pleasurable on unit editing ever.

The sounds presented in the video don't even need to be discussed, they're all fantastic.

Fwiw, at first I thought "ah, ok, the Focus zones are for newbs, don't need them", but I could actually see me using that function all the time. Even more so once it's customizeable.
And now please bring on some more information about the XY-pad.

That is probably my most important takeaway from yesterday. To be honest, I previously considered this feature to be more of a gimmick. Nice, but not particularly important to me personally. And now I was sitting there in front of the device, moving the cursor back and forth on the touchscreen... and I instantly understood how great it actually is. Especially when I think about recordings... ‘Hey, I need a sound here that’s kind of like...’ swipe, swipe, done!

Damn, I feel so hyped today, almost like a little kid waiting for Christmas. I can hardly wait for the day when I can finally order a Helix Stadium (non-XL, because I want to put it on my desk).

General question, maybe you don't know or it's already been asked... Can focus mode be mapped out say from one point to another and then assigned to an expression pedal?

From all I remember, that's what the XY pad is pretty much made for, allowing you to map multiple parameters of whatever blocks to whatever controllers.
