I don't have time to email people but I just checked the US Luxe Black model and it's crunchy as hell with the Drive at 10.0 and the guitar volume all the way up (Jazzmaster with Seymour Duncan humbucker).

Good news and bad news. The bad news is what I had to pay to get decent, but not great, seats for one of the Rush Fifty Something shows in Chicago next July. The good news is that it wasn't so much I had to cancel my Stadium XL preorder.

We have the same understanding, however right or wrong. I’m not seeing anything officially stating the model for either version so I could be mistaken.

At the very least we can state for fact that the drive behavior between the Hx Deluxe and the Agoura Deluxe is wildly different. The Hx at those settings is kind of a flame thrower. I love it.

@Digital Igloo do you have any specs on the black panel deluxe? Is it the same one modeled in Hx?

Maybe something in the video edit , who knows

He is also definitely roll off the volume as there is a notice drop off towards the end off the video then it comes back up

I’d wondered whether that may be the case. From DI’s response it seems like the Agoura gets pretty crunchy, so probably a false alarm.

He is also definitely roll off the volume as there is a notice drop off towards the end off the video then it comes back up

I was trying to squint out the knob positions but couldn’t pull it off. That Strat def caught my eye though.

Yeah, I think the settings aren’t representative.

Just more evidence that you never really know until you’re turning the dials and hitting the strings yourself.

Relevant observation from Mark Lettieri’s live demo from a couple weeks back. They switch to this Black Velvet preset around the 11:30 mark and he’s getting more crunch with the master at 4.5 than the newest demo with drive and master both dimed.

The newer demo def must have the volume rolled back or very different settings. Even the most vintage single coils aren’t that low output.
