And btw, said so before I think, having the tablet's front surface as the top cover of anything like that is just incredibly stupid. Why can't you just fold it in so the back of the tablet is up for transportation duties? Golden raspberrry award already.

The thing that would annoy me the most with this thing:
Either the tablet coming with it is of low quality. In that case, it'd be no joy to use.
Or the tablet is of nice quality. In that case, I'd be angry to waste for just a guitar practise amp.
Lose-lose.

Just separating the two and optionally selling as a bundle (with a similarly elegant means of docking as needed) would add value.

Otherwise, if I want a solution like this one, I'll build it out of off the shelf parts (iPad + whatever) as I've been doing for years. (Henning calling this a "bold concept" is, ironically, flattery. Unless I've traveled back in time 15 years or so?)

Well, ideally, they'd sell the amp portion with the audio interface and processing included and allowed you to control it from any mobile device. And if they really wanted you to mount stuff straight on the thing, heck, they could sell you more or less universal mounting adapters with a USB C outlet also charging your device.

Henning applauding them for this to be an all-in-one unit is BS IMO. Because if I was using such a thing, I'd very often be happy to just place it somewhere and have my mobile phone control everything next to me on a couch. They could even sell you a wireless transmitter which would recharge once it'd be resting on the unit.

Yes, there'd be ways to get the best out of all worlds, but instead they decided to make this a blues lawyers home gadget.

And btw, even the blues lawyer would be angry when throwing the thing down because the input cable is connected at hip height, so once there's just a little pull, the entire thing will not last standing for long. A wireless transmitter would solve that as well. Or, should you decide to get the stand, an input jack at the stand's bottom with an invisible audio connection running inside.

Next time you plan to do such a thing, remember to ask qualified people for consultation.

Basically - the wireless Yamaha THR line beats the piss out of this. If they could expand it to have more models/effects and a better way to share presets etc they’ll knock it out of the park imo

The tones aren't there yet (maybe close to the quality of the Fender Mustang Micro/GTX/Spark Neo)

But this thing is ridiculously fun!

Playing along with and then looping over, or starting a rhythm track to loop over is incredibly easy and fun, and I even haven't gotten to the daw yet.

The operating system is easy, it is like Apple built and designed it.

Its even great to stream music over.

If they can get the tones right here, over the next months or so, this will be he future for home writers, players, and producers.

I had never bought anything without a ton of research before, so took a chance here, and to be honest wasn't expecting much.

The fun factor with this is off the charts.

I came in early at a little over $500.

Have never done anything like this before, always do my research, and buy only tried and true items, but this intrigued me.

I wasn't expecting anything, but this this has amazed me. I have a ton of great amps, yet I keep coming back to this toy.

If they can get the tone better, as it progresses, it will really be something.

They have nailed the design, and operating system, I have hope they can get this better tone wise.

Dead product. Was kinda interested when I first saw it, but when "super low latency" is all you get to know without any actual numbers, I'm out. So seem to be pretty much all other folks.

I haven't read the entire thread. Got mine a couple weeks ago. Really nice concept for a self contained practice tool. The software is still very green and needs a lot of work. But past that, the main problem however is it basically sounds like this, and I am not sure they'll be able to improve the models much on the current hardware. Very underwhelming sounding.

Probably sounds great too.

But for practice there is the spark, headphone amps etc.
For recording there are a million plus great plugins (or real amps)

It doesn't have that killer option you can't get but need.
