It depends on your playing habits and style. You can use it in ways it always sounds good, and there are ways to use one where the warts become very apparent.

I remember seeing those things on stage around when I first started playing guitar way back when. Willing to bet that they don't sound much better than a Zoom 505 in this day and age.
