Kemper Profiler MK 2

The way Kemper does it is not - simply because you don't have to deal with any individual parameters. Which, depending on how many parameters you want to "morph" can become an immense PITA, let alone you have to set their boundaries manually, too. With the Kemper it's as easy as it gets. Setup status A and B, tell the thing to morph between the two, done.
Really, I have been there with the Helix, I tried to create some wild patches and got mad from having to deal with endless parameters.
Kemper has that nailed incredibly well.
The morph on the kemper is easier but really really limited compared to what you can do on the fractal units

Good or bad, right or wrong, for better or for worse, C.K / Kemper just do things their own way and that's it. … I've said it before - I think its a lot to do with the "German" ethos.
I think maybe you’re onto something. When i got my Hughes & Kettner the guy handed me the footswitch with a 10+ meters cable hardwired to it. He also joked that the manual states that you can extend the footswitch wire with a regular computer cable. 😳

He worked in the music industry all his life and had talked to the reps from Hughes & Kettner. He asked why they didn’t just put a connector on the footswitch so we could choose the cable length. He said they looked at him in disgust “no, why would we do that?”

They do what they’re going to do and there is no changing it. 😂

Is that because it’s a digi box? Because Fender, Gibson, Marshall and the insane amount of boutique stuff claiming to make a better mouse trap have done precisely this for decades.
Yeah, there’s a reason cliff isn’t selling the axefx ultra in 2025, but the 5150iii is still being sold at retail.
Digital obviously improves and you’d hope the company puts money back into r & d to continually bring out the best they can offer. When someone is just nudging old tech it’s just not that exciting.

Kempers are obviously out there and have their fans, I just think the mk2 is hugely lacklustre. Liquid profiling in theory was more of a needle mover and I don’t even really see people talk about it. I guess you’re either just a kemper person or you’re not, they’re not really going out of their way to win new people over imo.

Morphing is way easier to configure on Kemper than on Fractal, just like adjusting parameters on snapshots is way easier on Helix than on Fractal.

I really don’t understand the need for the group to repeatedly attack anything that isn’t one of the preferred devices. It can’t even be as simple as you don’t like the unit so just move on, there has to be page after page dissecting every post because you don’t like their opinion or have to be right.

I’ve seen that happen to just about every forum I’ve been on, there hits a point where the group dynamic gets to be toxic and shuts out anything outside the group think, and that’s usually a good sign to move on from that forum. It’s a bummer to see that happening here.

It’s not an amp. It’s a purpose-built computer. The technology (at least for some companies) moves way, way faster.

To act as if every single piece of new gear hasn't been dissected to ABSOLUTE death is insane. Across every forum, YT comment section or (ewwww) FB group post. It's the nature of the new gear cycle. Add in the geek factor on profiling and good lord, watch out. Time will tell once this thing (with the software update) hits the streets.

This is the first I've heard of this. What is the specific issue?
Honestly, Cliff; I am not sure

The TGF Product Receptiveness List (provided by corporate) makes it's way out whenever people are acting as if it's the first time a piece of gear is getting ran through the gauntlet. I have heard things regarding the Waza and amps over at TGP but I am not going there and digging any of that up for obvious reasons:oops: The post in reference is humorous in nature (except for the parts that have proven to ring true over the course of this forum's lifetime)

Couple of posts for reference from elsewhere

then from Pewtershmit (Boss rep who is a great guy by all accounts):

I'm done now

Yet isn’t that literally what AxeFx2 to 2Mk2 was?

It’s simple I have interest in the new Kemper but a revamp was way overdue. And it’s less of a revamp than I’d thought I’d be.

But I really don’t see the issue there. Maybe that’s my German-ness showing
