In other words, this just could be a money grab?
Wait until Mk1 can fully play Profiling 2 profilesThey’ve never done that before! Oh wait……

For the low, low price of $199 (see the website for details. Non-transferable)!
Add some trumpets and you've got yourself a Jive Turkey! All this aliasing, And here I thought all the time, my playing just sounded like a turkey fight because of me!
To reach level 4 you need to pay up so the Kemper can clean harmful tones out of your body.I swear if they make a level 4...
Level 4 is the upcoming monthly subscription named "Kemplete".![]()
So, silent?until your solo sounds like a metal scrapyard being sucked into a black hole.
The moderators Burkard and G String are assholes. They always make any legitimate questioner feel like they're stupid. Rude, rude culture. What do you expect from a company run by Christoph Kemper?
Sure. Do you have either unit opened up and have images of the DSP chip, SRAM and CPU SOC board? While your at it the A/D and D/A chips with data sheets would be nice. Oh, and while your at it, can you see if there are actual silk screen versions on the non SOC boards so we can determine if the entire boards are the same with the exception of the SOC?Can we join in?
I have no problem paying for professionally created profiles. They are cheap (at least for me). There was a time when I would have been buying pedals and entire amps just to get a feel for these profiles. For less (way less than my HOKA's) than a pair of tennis shoes I can get someone's hard work using a host of microphones to capture rigs and setup great signal chains to go with them. I have no problem with this. Not if you don't have the right profile, in which case you're relegated to sifting through free shit, or pulling out your wallet.
Sadly, it could be. I am still waiting to see how this sifts out.In other words, this just could be a money grab?
I'm going to start using this excuse as well! All this aliasing, And here I thought all the time, my playing just sounded like a turkey fight because of me!
Considering that the DSP chips and SRAM (the things responsible for the sound) are the same, I wonder if the MK2 upgrade will end up being a PAID upgrade to the MK1 users? For the low, low price of $199 (see the website for details. Non-transferable)!
I do, and that's a fundamental difference between modelers and capture devices. I'd rather dial it myself. I also think people that buy patches for Helix and Fractal are suckers.I have no problem paying for professionally created profiles. They are cheap (at least for me). Is there any info that indeed confirms that they are the same?Considering that the DSP chips and SRA
To be fair to Kemper, I view this more as a FM9 turbo vs a whole new gen.Can you imagine if Cliff made a massive big deal about a Axe IV, after years of waiting, and yeah it’s got some firmware improvements, but it’s basically the same box, same CPUs, different paint job?

It didn't take Cliff 14 years to come out with the Turbo. To be fair to Kemper, I view this more as a FM9 turbo vs a whole new gen.
But yeah it's not super exciting
