Pretty crazy story, so blessed to live in this modern era. Their lives were miserable back then!

There's a great episode of 60 Miunutes where they interview the authour and the
depth of research he did on that book (as he does all of his books). It was really cool
to watch.

Cool thanks for sharing! In his 'Authors note' he briefly wrote of his research. As I was reading the book I'm thinking how in heck did he find all this stuff out

It's really amazing. He is more than slightly obsessed! You'd have to be to write books like he does.

I think historically accurate novels must be some of the most challenging works to write.... because
you can't just make it all up as you go along.
