I did Sopranos, Boardwalk, and then The Wire. I too needed a break and am on Curb currently.

Ok, finished the series. I knew what was going to happen pretty much exactly when it happened. Pretty cool build up with Meadow trying to park the car multiple times and the family together for one last 'little moment' !

The way the show was heading the fed were more of a concern that T getting clipped. Phil's crew had already made an alliance and his ending was pretty epic! Now time to start from the beginning as I never did

When does the /wire get better?

The Wire is great but it definitely has the vibe of it's time. We've been rewatching Homicide and while it was an network series; it has the 90s feel all over it.

When does the /wire get better?

It took me probably 3/4 of the way through season 1 when I started getting more into it. It definitely has a vibe of its time like JiveTurkey said. It’s far from action packed, more character based. If you get through Season 2 and aren’t into it by then, I would bounce.
